I took a ‘wee’ tour earlier by car on the Slea Head Drive looking for Sites for my artist friends to paint. There is no shortage of spots;as long as they can keep dry and out of the wind there’s some fabulous vantage points that are not too far from a cafe or too. The B&B will even prepare a packed lunch if they know ahead of time! Let’s hope I can control the weather to a certain extent but there’s nothing like trying to convey the feel of the wind tearing up the sea at some of the sites!
I add here a couple of photos of 2 of my attempts from last weekend on Coney Island. These two oil paintings are staying with my cousin Kathleen in Dingle. They are still quite wet! I have two more that need a lot of work but unless I buy oil paint here I can’t complete them. I did find a source of supplies at the educational store in Dingle.
can you sit in the ‘boo’t and paint 🙂
ooops boot!
I was just reminiscing 8 years later…ahh the opportunities of the old and retired…I am laughing at your comments Wendy!!!
